Hyundai Ioniq
Rounding off our list is the Hyundai Ioniq, dubbed one of the safest cars you can buy with a 5 star Euro NCAP safety rating and packed full of safety technology. There are three versions: electric, hybrid petrol/electric motor combo and a plug-in hybrid version giving you plenty of choice. Starting from £21,056 again this car is very affordable.
